I (Elango Lakshmanan) was born at Mayiladuthurai, which is a small town in Nagappatinam District, Tamilnadu, India in 1962. My beloved parents are Dr S. Lakshmanan and Mrs L. Manimegalai. I am married and have two children. I did my schooling at Town High School, Kumbakonam. Kumbakonam is the second biggest town in Thanjavur District and also known as TEMPLE city. It is located at about 270 kilometers south of Chennai (Madras). The town is bounded by two rivers - " River Cauvery" on the north and "River Arasalar" on the south. The town is identified by many temples sprinkled all over the town, most of them are very ancient temples. Kumbakonam town is very famous for Mahamagam festival, which is celebrated here once in 12 years(1992, 2004, 2016.....). At the time of Mahamagam festival, it is believed that in Mahamagam tank, the famous rivers like Ganga, Yamuna, Saraswathi, Sarayu, Godavari, Mahanathi, Narmatha, Payoshnl, and Cauvery are meeting together. The town also famous as the Navagraha Temples are located around it (Map of Navagraha Temples). In the year 1977-78 I did my 11th std (SSLC) at Besant Theosophical School , Chennai.
